Our users have problem with Internet Explorer and I suspect it's their Add-on, so I want them to start IE in Safe Mode. I'd like to create a .BAT file for this so users can easily click it instead of manually starting IE in Safe Mode.
This is my first time writing a .BAT file and unfortunately I have no luck. When I double-click the .BAT file it only prompts a DOS window for a second but nothing happens. Could you please give me guidance? Para que serve o adobe acrobat gratis. This is my code:

You shouldn't need to move to the directory first, and you have named the executable incorrectly
You can of course also run it without the URL.

We've run into an unusual bug with Internet Explorer and we need to force IE 11 to behave as IE 10 (since this bug is not present in IE 10).
I have tried the following:
but unfortunately this does not work and I have not found anything relevant or helpful from Google searches or the docs. So how do we get IE 11 to behave as IE 10?

Do the following:
- The correct meta string is:
<meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible'/>
(I added it just below the<title>
. Preserve case, IE crappy code might be also case sensitive.) - And a valid
<!DOCTYPE..
must be present at the very 1st line of your page (no space or lines before it)
You can verify if it works by hitting F12 to show the IE11 developer tools. On the left side there is a grey bar, scroll it down and select Emulation, if it shows Document mode: IE10 it will be fine!

Should work.
I know this will not set IE11 to IE10 mode but it might me worth a shot to try the edge setting.
This flow chart shows how the document mode works. The image is from the Microsoft MSDN site. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff955275%28v=vs.85%29.aspx

I just had the same problem. Its as if the x-ua-compatible tag does not change the document mode unless its the first meta tag in the header. I had a script tag above it.
If you put the meta tag you tried as the first tag in the header and press F12, you will see the document mode stays on 10.

We’ve all bumped into Windows Safe Mode either accidentally or by necessity. We have also experienced how Windows loads with minimal functionality when in safe mode. The idea behind such a setup is to allow the user to debug and fix issues in the machine that are stopping it from booting normally.
Now, did you know that the MS Office suite has a safe mode of its own? Yes, it’s different from the Windows Safe Mode. However, the fundamentals remain the same and it allows you to do with Office applications what Windows Safe Mode allows you to do with Windows.
Again, the idea here is to start Office programs that have run into issues (and are not starting normally) so that you may debug and fix them.
Cool Tip: Firefox users may find it intriguing to learn about the Safe Mode in Firefox and how it can help.In safe mode most features remain disabled. Here are few snapshots from the MS Word program in safe mode.
The most important and usable item that’s open is Options. This is where you debug the various settings and disable customizations if required.
Automated Safe Mode
Office programs automatically check for issues and problems when you start them. If they encounter any, it tries fixing them before launching.
At times it may need to disable the function causing the problem. If so, it will ask you first and then do what’s needed.
User-Initiated Safe Mode
When the automated safe mode cannot do enough, you must resort to the user-initiated safe mode. Here, you will have to find and fix the problems by yourself. The most common place to look for issues is add-ins and/or extensions.
But before you get into debugging you must know how to open an Office program in safe mode. We will show you three ways.
Using Run Dialog: Open the Run dialog by simultaneously pressing the Windows key and R. Then type winword /safe to launch MS Word in safe mode. For other tools, here are the commands to use:
- MS Excel: excel /safe
- MS PowerPoint: powerpnt /safe
- MS Outlook: outlook /safe
Using Search Dialog: The commands remain the same, except that you type them in the Search box as shown below.
Using Ctrl Key: Locate any MS Office file or application shortcut. Then double click on it while holding the Ctrl key. Before it proceeds to launch the application in safe mode, it will ask for confirmation.
Note: In order to exit the safe mode you just need to close the application you have opened. Then start the application in the normal way. Conclusion
Being aware of the safe mode on MS Office suite is really helpful. Sometimes the programs just fail at startup for unknown reasons. The safe mode at least takes you through. And then, you can debug a few things; disable third party add-ins/plugins, remove templates from external sources, disable macros, etc.

The No Add-ons mode allows Internet Explorer to temporarily run without any add-ons like Toolbars, ActiveX controls, etc. The No add-ons mode in Internet Explorer is rather useful when you want to troubleshoot incompatible browser add-ons or extensions. It is also very useful when you want to troubleshoot a problem like say freezing of your IE, to identify whether it is related to any add-on.
Run Ie In Safe Mode
Add-ons are programs that supplement your web browser with additional features such as tool bars and ActiveX controls. Some come pre-installed in Internet Explorer while some are installed via the Internet. It is relatively easy to install Internet Explorer add-ons. They require your permission before getting installed on your system. But some may do without your consent.
Run Internet Explorer in No Addons mode
There are four ways you can start Internet Explorer in the No Addons mode.
1] In Windows 7, to run your Internet Explorer in the no add-ons mode, Open Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
2] You can also open the Run box from the WinX Menu in Windows 8, type the following command line argument and hit Enter:
iexplore.exe –extoff
This will start IE with no add-ons.
3] Open a command prompt windows, type the following and hit Enter, to open IE in No add-ons mode:
“%ProgramFiles%Internet Exploreriexplore.exe” -extoff
If you use the IE in no add-ons mode frequently, you can also create desktop shortcut using this for the location field.
4] Open Internet Explorer and type about:NoAdd-ons in the address bar and hit Enter.
Then if you need to, the through Internet Options > Manage Add-ons, you can enable or disable each add-on to identify which, if any, add-on is creating problems. Useful if your Internet Explorer crashes or freezes frequently and you want to make it run faster.
